Rumah Shalom

Raya 2008

Raya this year started at Mount Kiara. Went to parent's place a bit later than intended. Met almost everyone than headed to FM to pick up Evan. We went to Ampang and visited my Aunt n cousins. It was as short and sweet visit.

Later that night we ended up at Rosman's place, played fireworks and ate and ate and ate.

I didnt take lots of pics like i normally do. Just wans't in the mood. But I took pics with all the men in my life, 4 of whom, have been there thru thick and thin through out my life time. One I consider very new and quite significant...how long??? only God knows...

My Cousin Reen's Wedding 8 & 10 August 08

The year was 1974... 2 gorgeous babies were born about 6 months apart. Since their siblings at that time had a min age gap of 13 years apart, they became good friends. They are cousins. Time went by, they grew up and grew apart. Some things do not have an explanation and is best left as it is.
Anyway 08.08.08, an auspicious date. Everyone wants a part of it...a date to remember! So my cousin chose this date to be married. Enjoy the pics...1st one here is Sofireena and Saiful, the happy couple.

My big bro has got a new toy and loves clicking his camera away. I noticed a lot pictures of me taken, with and without me knowing it. Of course I wont put the candid ones here! Here's one of mom, my sister-in-law and me.

Our little monsters, we're running out of monsters and need someone somewhere to produce new ones...I guess it's the bride and groom's turn?

My sisters-in law Azlina & Rodziah

The focus in this picture is not the 3 ladies. It's actually the 2 portraits in the background. My grand-ma and grand-dad. Grand-dad looks like Hitler doesn't he?

My not so little niece, Liyana. Growing up so fast. Please slow down, you're making me feel old. I used to change her diapers and now she borrows my shoes every time she has a party to go to.

Dad and me...maybe secretly he was wishing it was my wedding? What do you think?

Highlight of the night for my side of the family is....well for those of you who knows me and is reading and looking at these pictures, you'll know what I mean. How this night ended was funny, adventures even... but how it started, I myself would never have guessed. Only Richard and I knows it ;-)

Nadhirah's 1st birthday

Little Princess turned 1 on 28th June 2008 and I suggested we celebrate it at my pool side.

So who is this little princess? She is the daughter of my "partner in crime" back in TM. Such an adorable gal with adorable smile.

More people were suppose to come but Malaysians being Malaysians...last minute things came up so...you get the drift... Never the less, we had fun! The invitation was at 3pm but 'some' people hang out till 11pm. I practically had to make them leave...hahaha! Well, not because I didnt enjoy their company but simply because I had a date after that...(save that story for another day ;-) )

Dr Syed with mommy Sharifah Shuriana and princess Shariffah Nadhirah...

Below is Zulaikha and me...suprisingly, there are still innocent people on this planet. For those who know her, you'll understand what I mean.

Razmin & family...

A quickie in Singapore!

No...quickie here does not mean the quickie you guys have in mind! It means a quick, relaxing, no fuss, just go woth the flow getaway.

I wanted to chill before starting a new job on 25 June 2008, had so many plans but ended up in Singapore for obvious reasons only my close friends and I know.

Never the less, it was fun coz at the end of the day, it doesn't matter where you are but the company you're with...

So basically I spent 5 days with my friends, met new and old ones, had good laughs, felt rejuvenated and all geared up to start my new job on 25th June.

3 of us had dinner at this place near Changi Coast (I think) when the guy who was serving us was sooo into Darshana...I mean...who can blame him right?!

Then we got invited to join the ex-MSS guys who are now working in Singapore! Great networking huh! Free drinks for everyone!
The night ended at 5am...bar hopping, cafe hopping...
