Full of Jit

7 April... I went to BSC and decided to get me a ticket to watch Full of Jit. No one wanted to go so I decided to have a 'ME' day. Of course the usual happens, after the show, when you tell your friends you went for this and that, they say...why didnt you tell me...I wanted to go too!!! Whatever!!!

Anyway, I went for the show at 830pm on Tuesday, 10th April. It was worth every cent and my time spent. It was my 1st standup comedy and it was really cool to see.

"Silliness, Anger and lots & lots of Hope" is the essence of Jit's humour. Yes...everything he said was funny, sarcastic and makes you laugh your head off but in a way sad... But what I like about the whole scene was the audience. I could see they are from different age groups, races, backgrounds and yet were all able to enjoy the show and relate to his jokes and got (I hope) the "message" (I'm sure there were many) he was trying to convey.

I drove home smiling and told everyone at work to go the next day. All the best to Jit and I'm looking forward to see more of his work.

Capoeira

1 April 2007, I signed up for Capoeira. It's a Brazilian form of Martial Art but has dance moves to it which require a lot of coordination.

My instructor is Soldado. Half of the time he has to repeat what he says coz I dont understand his accent but he is 1 cool dude with a nice bod ( to be precise...nice booty!Ooooh and I like his perfume too) haha!

He says my coordination is good (I dont know about that but I sure know that it is not as flexible as it used to be but still ok). I had to learn the basic move in Capoeira which is the Ginga (pronounced as Jingga) and also remember some terms which are totally alien and foreign to me...i.e Skiva de frente and Skiva de font (not sure if the spelling is right). Anyway, I discovered muscles I never knew I had or have been asleep for ages.

Last Sunday, April 15, I tried new moves which made me sore all over. I just could not get up and refuse to even think of getting up! But all in all, it was cool. Now all I have to do is understand what he is trying to say..Ha ha..And last but not least, I think I should start acting my age...
